I learned the value of imprinting and
desensitization training in the 80's
when I followed Dr. Miller's Foal
Imprinting Program on my filly.
From the day she was born she and
I shared a wonderful bond that I a
know was the result of following this
program. Quicksilver Moonshine had
so much trust in me that she would lay
on her side and put her head in my lap to take naps. She was a gentle as a kitten, easily handled and accepting of new situations.

Puppies start to learn at three weeks of age. From seven weeks to sixteen weeks of age they are going to learn the things which mold their character as adults. If they are not taught by their human masters, they will find a way to learn other things on their own: Clarence Pfaffenberger from his book The new knowledge of Dog Behavior.
