Welcome! To my silly little carting site on the web. This site is packed full of photos and information regarding all things carting. I live in San Diego County so the event information is predominately about this area, however there is still much information that anyone who loves carting will surely enjoy.

DUE TO a large request my "HOW TO" Getting Started pages have been reposted! I hope you will enjoy my spin on the subject and if you are a beginner; learn to cart safely and happily. Also browse around and take a look at the many other pages I have created for carting enthusiasts. Clearly I have entirely too much free time on my hands. You will find pretty much everything your little heart desires that relates to the subject with new information being added regularly. Check back, as I'm always updating and adding new pages, photos, information, products and event dates.

If Competition and Trialing is Your Thang...
Most draft breed registries offer their own draft dog tests including the American Rottweiler Club. Interestingly enough it is the ARC's Rottweiler Carting test that is the easiest to enter and pass. Our rules allow for any breed of dog including non registered dogs, regardless of size to be able to enter in our tests so long as they are able to pull the required 40 pounds of weight without difficulty. Many breeds have entered and passed Rottie tests since the first test in 2000.

Unweillers welcome
The American Rottweiler Club test is both easy and rewarding with emphasis placed on the happiness of the dog. Rottie owners are fortunate to have several ARC tests offered every year in various locations throughout the country. Recently ARC has changed  their 3 minute individual down to a group down similar to the Berner Draft test. In my opinion they could have changed alot more than just one exercise but alas I don't make the rules I just play by them/

AKC recently shot down the possibility of initiating an AKC draft test, a dissapointing outcome after several years of anticipation. but we still have a strong Rottweiler Carting program and I for one will continue to enter ARC tests whenever they are available.
